Dive into the heart of the ocean

I take you there, camera in hand, heart wide open.

I am Margaux Le Brun, a marine biology graduate, professional diver and videographer. As co-founder of Blue Mind Expeditions, I guide educational and citizen-science expeditions to meet the ocean’s flagship species.

Marine biologist, diver, ocean storyteller

Portrait of Margaux Le Brun at golden hour, by the sea

With a marine biology degree since 2016, the French CAH1B professional diving qualification, and work as an underwater camera operator and naturalist guide, I travel the world’s oceans with one mission: to document the fragile beauty of the deep and share stories that make people care about protecting it.

For four years I specialised in human–shark interaction while diving, guiding divers to meet sharks all over the world and building up thousands of dives with large predators, from tiger sharks to oceanic whitetips.

In 2025 I co-founded Blue Mind Expeditions with Anthony Le Floc’h, to reinvent the way we dive: no longer just observing, but understanding and contributing. We run diving expeditions that combine citizen science and education, passing the data collected on our dives (photo-identification, laser photogrammetry…) to researchers, and training participants to better understand the species and ecosystems they meet. The aim is to turn every diver, beginner or experienced, into a genuine ambassador for the ocean — and to show that a more conscious form of underwater tourism, genuinely useful to conservation, is not only possible but necessary.

Talks and awareness · the heart of the mission

Sharing knowledge to protect better

Every expedition begins long before we enter the water. Talks, workshops and conversations help everyone understand the ecosystems we are about to meet — how fragile they are, how beautiful, and which small actions make a difference. Because we only protect what we understand, passing on knowledge is at the heart of every trip: giving each person what they need to become, at their own scale, a responsible custodian of the ocean.

The next expeditions

Guided diving, talks and citizen science: every expedition contributes to research and to protecting the marine environment. Join the adventure on the Blue Mind Expeditions website.

My services

The expeditions I run with Blue Mind Expeditions are a large part of my work, but I also work as a camera operator, photographer and professional diver on any kind of assignment, scientific or not: film shoots, photo shoots, one-off expeditions… I also give talks on the marine environment for companies, schools and public events.

Educational and citizen-science expeditions

Educational expeditions and citizen-science workshops with Blue Mind Expeditions. Dive, understand, contribute — and give our time underwater a purpose again. 100% of the data collected goes to local organisations.

  • Guided dives to meet flagship species, in small groups.
  • Photo-identification workshops: your images go to our local partner organisations.
  • Talks and workshops during the trip — booking on the Blue Mind website.

Professional diver

Professional diver (French CAH1B): for any field assignment, scientific or not, down to 30 metres — safe operations that respect the ecosystem.

  • Filming and photography — underwater camera work, production support, water safety for crews.
  • Scientific missions — sample collection, species monitoring, photo-identification, ecosystem documentation…
  • Tailor-made — professional equipment, adapted to your field conditions.

UGC creator & content production

Distinctive photo and video, on land or underwater, for your advertising campaigns and creative projects.

  • Video — short formats for social media, event or campaign films, longer stories, edited for Instagram, YouTube or your website.
  • Photography — brand, product, event, portrait and atmosphere, from a social post to large-format print.

Seminars and talks

Sharks frighten as much as they fascinate. I come and tell people what they really are, take apart the myths and explain why they need protecting — in person or by video call.

  • For every audience — schools, dive clubs, companies, festivals and trade shows.
  • Sharks: facts and misconceptions · how to dive with them safely.
  • Ecotourism as a conservation tool · citizen science for the oceans.
  • Expedition debriefs · shark diving as a woman.

Collaborative projects

Let’s build projects that mean something: every collaboration is a chance to tell the story of the world from a new angle, between exploration, science and awareness.

  • Documentaries and campaigning films.
  • Scientific projects and conservation missions.
  • Artistic performances and audiovisual work.
  • Partnerships with brands and organisations that share these values.

Stock footage & presets

A library of professional underwater footage, constantly growing with my expeditions and shoots, available to licence for your productions.

  • Sharks and rays, marine mammals, fish, birds and reptiles, invertebrates…
  • Behaviours, habitats, dive sites and shot types.
  • Preview in low resolution, then buy the high-resolution files (1080p / 4K).
  • Colour-grading preset packs coming soon — write to me to be notified.

If you think it is hard to make your dream come true, remember that it is even harder to live without it.

The Alchemist — Paulo Coelho

Driven by my passion for the ocean and its wonders, I turned my dream into reality: exploring the underwater world, sharing its beauty and raising awareness of its protection. Every encounter below the surface feeds my urge to tell unique stories, through images and through action.
